Festival Housing Group (Festival)
Company: Festival Housing Group (Festival)
Date: November 2008
Project: To develop web based ordering systems for Festival
Housing Group
Festival is a major Housing Association based in Malvern.
Formed in 2002 from a merger between Partnership & Spa
Housing groups, they manage over 8,000 housing units and
are the largest provider of affordable housing in Herefordshire & Worcestershire
via Spa & Elgar Housing Associations.
As part of a regular benchmarking exercise, Festival wanted
to ensure that it was receiving Value for Money (VFM) from
its supplier base.
After an extensive tender process, CDP were awarded the
contract to Print Manage 100% of Festival’s business
print requirements.
As Angela Rodway, Risk & Support Services Manager,
Festival commented: “From the start CDP understood
our business goals. They set out a clear path to follow
and the results speak for themselves”
A major concern for Festival was that there were several
order points buying a multitude of products for both Spa & Elgar.
Keeping tally of all orders to a range of suppliers was very
time consuming and prone to errors.
To tackle this, CDP designed a web ordering system which
has completely stopped order errors. It also provides a series
of bespoke reports that deliver accurate and real-time information
on all transactions, deliveries, stocks, and costs – by
order point and by delivery point, and also by product code.
“This information now gives us the ability to totally
control costs accurately and effectively” says Angela.
Beverley Kesslar, Key Account Manager CDP adds “Festival
are an example where working together on common goals has
achieved great results. The most recent development has been
to put Business Cards on the web. This automatically reduces
errors, speeds up proofing, and cuts the lead time down to
just a few days”.
As a final note from Angela: “It is not just the cost
savings that we are achieving that makes CDP our ideal supplier.
It is also their attention to detail such as advice on VAT & green
issues that adds value to Festival. What we wanted was a
print manager, what we have is a true partner”
